I had an ionic air cleaner, but got rid of it because of the smell it gave out. I found Austin Air on the internet and began evaluating their products. Airfiltersandpurifiers.com recommended an air purifier that was tailored to my problems of cigarette smoke, kitchen smells, and my cat odors. I bought the HealthMate Jr. It is a compact size, space-saving unit and is quiet on the first and second settings. You can definitely hear it on high though.

I have always had a bunch of electronics that had to be dusted. Dust would always find a way my computer. The Austin Air motor moves air around so I definitely have less dust than before.

I love it. I keep the air purifier in a room where I smoke and It has eliminated the cigarette smoke and odors. I'm very glad I ordered it. What a difference!

This air purifier works well for the price. Even more importantly, I don’t have to spend money every year for a new replacement filter. It is a full HEPA quality that great for those who really needs that in a home. I have the Healthmate Jr. in my bedroom and it has eliminated most of the dust from the air and I don’t need to clean any dust off of surfaces since I started running it. It is fairly quiet at low speeds, though not the quietest on high.

Air purifiers are a must for condo or apartment living. They get rid of neighbor smells from cookouts, cigarettes, cooked meals and anything else neighbors do to create smells. They are also great for allergies and cleaning your place of dust. I bought the HealthMate and It draws all the dust and blows out clean air. Overall, this unit is a GREAT value for the price and a must for anyone still saving to buy their first home.

HealthMate jr. air purifier worked well in a small room. I do frequently vacuum the prefilter, following the manufacturer's instructions. I have a dust free room! Overall it's a great value and performs awesome in a small room. It’s nice that I don’t have to buy filters all the time too!

The Healthmate jr. is nice, small and compact enough to stick in a corner, but strong enough to clean the air in my converted attic that is 10' x 30'. It is now free of the dingy, dusty scent that has been up there for years.

My den has smelled from my father's cigarettes and I couldn't stand it any more. Thanks guys for recommending the HealthMate. It's done a great job getting rid of the odors!
