The Austin Air HealthMate Jr. Plus Air Purifier is very similar to the Austin Air HealthMate Jr. HM200, but with an upgraded absorption media of potassium iodide added to the activated carbon-zeolite. This addition improves air purification for our most chemically sensitive customers. The Austin Air HealthMate Jr. Plus removes volatile organic compounds (VOCs), the gases and toxic fumes from chemical cleaners, crude oil, industrial agents and gas products. Also removed will be the dust, pollen, other airborne allergens, environmental odors, and toxins. It is great at removing other odors from family pets and cooking smells. The Austin Air HealthMate Jr. Plus is a great choice for our customers who are chemically sensitive, have tough airborne contamination jobs, or thos living in heavy concentrations of air contaminates.

The Austin Air HealthMate Jr. Plus helps those who suffer from Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS), allergens, and asthma. It omes with the addition of six pounds of absorption media technology and potassium iodide. It is great for areas up to 700 sq. ft. and it is perfect for your baby’s room, bedrooms, or any room where the cleanest of air is essential. This unit comes with a 30 sq. ft. of true High Efficiency Particulate Arresting (HEPA) medical filter medium capable of trapping 99.97% of all polluting particulates as small as 0.3 microns and 95% of particles as small as 0.1 micron. Air is ciruclated at 200 cfm when the air cleaner is set on high. The Austin Air HealthMate Jr. Plus also has additional filtering through a carbon-zeolite mix and potassium iodide that enables it to remove even the most toxic of compounds.

The Austin Air HealthMate Jr. Plus has a 360 degree intake on all sides and a directional air outlet that allows you to direct clean purified air towards the ceiling. It’s housing is a baked-on coated steel frame with modern interior components designed to run continuously for years. The Austin Air HealthMate Jr. Plus contains a fan and motor assembly, a centrifugal fan, a 3-speed control switch, operates 120 volts and consumes 80 watt of power with a high efficiency motor. It is designed to have a long life and has been approved by CSA, UL, and CE. The Austin Air HealthMate Jr. Plus comes a with a 5 year warranty for all parts and labor and has a prorated 5 year filter guarantee.

I bought this HealthMate Plus Jr for our home office, as we both are on the computer quite a bit. My wife is a smoker, we have a woodstove and 3 dogs. We plugged it in and on occasion vacuum the vents. The noise on medium is not offensive in the least, and draws all smoke directly into the unit. The Austin Air is certainly the best of all the units we've had.

This HealthMate Plus Jr air purifier sits in the bedroom. It produces a background sound on HIGH that is amazingly conducive to sleep. On low, you can barely hear it. The air is cleaner, we no longer sneeze waking up, and I don't need to dust as often. One of my main reasons for buying this air purifier was that it has a maintenance free HEPA filter. The HealthMate Plus Jr is compact and strong enough to keep the room fresh and clean. I am very satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend this air purifier.

My HealthMate Plus Jr. noise level is acceptable to me, in an 8x10 room. I typically have it on LOW. It sounds like a fan on low speed. If I have a bad smell or lots of dust floating around I will put it on HIGH. It is a bit loud but most of the time I will push it down to low again. But most importantly, no more chemical smell!
